Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. We are a restaurant with a nice variety of California cuisine, concentrating on quality food and service.

Located at 2220 Bath St, Santa Barbara, CA 93105, Live Oak Cafe operates as a cafe serving Santa Barbara in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 7 am–2 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (805) 845-5193. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is liveoakcafe.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 374 reviews, which is a strong result for a cafe in Santa Barbara and suggests consistent service.

They have an aviary with tiny birds! Also, they were super accommodating with our big group (and dog!) And the food was all beautiful and seasoned perfectly πŸ‘Œ will be coming back when I'm in SB again 😊

The spot is nice. Service is nice. I love the little birds in the cage too, but the fish and chips I got was severely disappointing, especially since it cost me $25 including tip and the fries that came with it were very basic. Fast food fries, not a proper thick chip. Really wouldn't have had a problem with this if it cost like 10-15 dollars but the portion size was also a total joke for that much money. I had to weigh it just to make sure and this is about the bare minimum that you could get away with for a portion of fish in fish and chips.

My husband and I ate at the Live Oak CafΓ© while were staying at the Best Western on the same property. The restaurant interior is bright and chic and, as a bonus, overlooks the hotel pool. Plenty of parking. We had dinner the first night of our stay and loved it so much we went back for breakfast. Everything is fresh, high quality and delicious. If you are in Santa Barbara, be sure to stop by and give them a try. Be sure also to stop and say hello to the cute little finches who live right outside. I have to give a very special shout out to Javier and Luis! They were awesome – made us feel warm and welcome and part of the family. Luis kept the smiles and the coffee coming (VERY important part of my morning) and Javier could not have been more helpful and also has a really great smile! Stop by and say hi to the guys!

Love this cafe. Love their coffee, and love their food. Sitting in the roofed "outside" area closest to the birds feels like such a power spot. Wait staff are all attentive and sincere. They helped me kindly when I had very specific questions. I've been here 3 times and I've never had a bad dish, but highly recommend the bacon fried rice and any of the omelets. Oh and the coffee!!

A Morning at Live Oak Cafe <3 If you’re looking for a breakfast spot that captures the quintessential charm of Santa Barbara, Live Oak Cafe is an absolute gem. Tucked right in the heart of the city, the cafe is surrounded by stunning mission-style architecture that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a coastal postcard before you even walk through the door. The Atmosphere: The decor is incredibly cute, striking a perfect balance between cozy and chic. One of the most unique features is the onsite aviary, which adds a whimsical, nature-filled touch to the space. Since it’s the holiday season, the "Christmasy" vibes were in full swingβ€”complete with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree that made the whole experience feel extra festive and warm. The Food & Drink: I stopped in for breakfast and ordered: β€’ Avocado Omelette: Fresh, light, and perfectly cooked. β€’ Fruit Bowl: A refreshing and vibrant side that tasted seasonal and crisp. β€’ Salted Caramel Latte: This was the highlight! The latte art was stunningly intricate, almost too pretty to drink. It was the perfect blend of sweet and savory to kickstart the morning. The Service: What truly sets this place apart is the people.
